The Web3 holds the promise of new formats and new sources of revenue. It will be a challenge for the media to build smart partnerships with the creator economy. But there is also a risk of governance and sovereignty. Beyond the dreams of decentralization, the ecosystem around the metaverse and NFTs is becoming more concentrated and there is a risk of seeing the same monopolies as in Web2. What is the role of the media in countering this trend?
